What can our GPs help with at home?
New illness and medical concerns
Our GPs assess a range of suitable non-emergency concerns, including coughs, sore throats, urinary symptoms, skin problems and digestive complaints.
The doctor will discuss your symptoms and medical history, examine you where appropriate and explain the next steps.
Ongoing conditions and medication reviews
A home appointment can provide time to discuss an ongoing condition, changes in symptoms or concerns about your medicines.
Please have an up-to-date medication list and relevant letters or results available for your GP.
Care for older adults
A home assessment can be helpful when mobility, frailty or transport makes a clinic visit difficult.
With the patient’s agreement, a relative or carer can be involved in the discussion and help with the next steps.
Prescriptions and referrals
Your GP can issue a private prescription or arrange onward referral when clinically appropriate.
Prescriptions, investigations and referrals depend on your GP’s clinical assessment.
ECGs, blood tests and IV fluids at home
Our visiting GPs can provide selected investigations and treatments during a suitably arranged home visit.
ECG at home
A resting 12-lead ECG can be performed at home. Your GP reviews the recording alongside your symptoms and medical history and explains whether further assessment is needed.
Blood tests at home
Blood samples can be collected where appropriate and arranged in advance. Laboratory testing and sample transport are charged separately.
IV fluids at home
Our GPs can assess patients and provide IV fluids where clinically indicated and suitable for treatment at home.
The doctor will assess your symptoms, medical history and examination findings before recommending treatment.

The fee depends on the patient’s location, appointment length, visiting doctor and availability.
If the starting-price appointment is unavailable, we will explain any alternative and its fee before you decide whether to book.
ECGs, blood tests, IV fluids, medication and other investigations or treatments are charged separately unless included in your agreed quote.
Your appointment length, arrival window and total fee are confirmed before payment.

Meet Dr Mohsen Dashti - One of our home-visiting GPs
Dr Mohsen Dashti is an experienced UK-registered GP who has practised medicine since 1994. He completed his GP training in the UK, receiving his Certificate of Completion of Training in 2008 and his MRCGP qualification in 2009.
Having lived and worked in Surrey since 2011, Dr Dashti understands the needs of the local community. He combines his clinical experience with a thorough, compassionate approach to medical care.
His particular interests include preventive healthcare, health screening and the early identification of potential health risks. He places importance on clear communication and shared decision-making, helping patients understand their health and the options available to them.
As part of the VR Private Clinics home-visiting team, Dr Dashti provides GP assessments at home. He can also perform ECGs, take blood samples and administer IV fluids where clinically appropriate and arranged in advance.
Our home-visiting team includes other VR Private Clinics GPs. We will confirm the doctor attending your appointment before your visit.
How to arrange your private GP home visit
1. Book online
We release a selection of home-visiting appointments through our online booking system.
Click Book a Home Visit, select the VR Home Visiting Service, choose a suitable available slot and follow the booking steps.
Our team will review the appointment details, including the patient’s location and the reason for the visit. If we need more information or need to discuss the appointment time, we will contact you.
2. Prefer to speak to our team?
Send us a WhatsApp message with the patient’s age, postcode, preferred timing, any special requests and a brief description of the concern.
This is also the best option if you cannot find a suitable online slot, need a same-day visit or have a specific request, such as an ECG, blood test or IV fluids.

3. We confirm the arrangements
Our team will check the location, clinical suitability, GP availability and any equipment or special arrangements needed.
We will confirm the appointment length, visiting GP, expected arrival window, total fee and booking terms.
If an online slot or service is unsuitable or needs to change, we will contact you to discuss the options.
4. Your home visit
Once your appointment arrangements are confirmed, your VR Private Clinics GP will visit you at home.
Please have the patient’s current medication list, relevant medical letters and any access or parking instructions available.

Booking for an older relative or care-home resident
You can contact us to help arrange a private GP assessment for someone you support.
Please explain your relationship to the patient, who will be present and any access or communication needs. We will establish the appropriate consent arrangements.
For a care-home resident, please have the home’s contact details, medication list and a brief explanation of the concern available.

What happens if I need to cancel?
